My daughter's and I absolutely LOVE this animal shelter! We did get the chance to foster for a while and fell in love with doing so, unfortunately after a change of management at our complex we got a letter that we would not be able to do so. After a few years we finally decided to adopt! Stormy is PERFECT for our family! Wyatt our Toy Aussie is a huge kitten/cat lover and has been in love since we brought her home.
Beautiful shelter! Kind, loving and helpful staff. The animals here are treated so well. Help with fostering if possible it's a great chance to help all the animals 😀
Shelters have been given such a bad name but this place is truly a safe haven for animals. We just got our sweet well trained girl from them this week and couldn't be happier. So glad we we're chosen to give her a forever home. Thank you all so much ❤️
Sugar (Luna) says hi 👋
Staff is caring but they need more volunteers and donations to help take care of the animals that really need it in our community. Saw several sad situations with animals being turned in lost hungry and thirsty. We adopted Rocket and love this little guy!
I found my new best friend here a year ago and he's the perfect cat. The staff was great and helpful. I got him after I had lost my cat of 16 years so I was very nervous about getting a new kitty, but I'm so thankful I did! He's very loving and talkative!
Are walk-ins a thing anymore? They used to allow walk-ins prior to the lock down, now each time i swing by the doors are always locked. Covid is over, please just open the doors and end the charade.
Not a true shelter. They won't accept animals that need help without an appointment and/ or an ID. Makes me think twice before I pick an animal up that needs help and a home, I won't be doing that again. I have a mom and 2 kittens that need homes and care that someone clearly dumped, they were clean and left in a field with a bag of food and a water bowl and came right up to me with no where to take them. Dana Richards at the front desk told me to commit a crime and put them back in the field where I found them. This shelter has left us literally no options, saying they are full when you do try to make an appointment. I see why there are so many dumping post on social media now, the shelter is supposed to take them but simply won't. Where is our tax money going if they aren't able to do what they are there to do for the city. Very disgusting and extremely disappointing. Sorry Dana, I'm not going to commit a crime because you won't do your job and recommended that is what I do. Before she recommended I do that, I asked what do I do just leave them around here as in around the shelter, and she said no and threatened that there are cameras around that would get my information, but I'm supposed to just do that somewhere else? You don't exempt people from the law Dana. Clearly a God complex going on here. The only good job you did is not helping cats that most likely need to be fixed and shots and one definitely needs medical attention that looks deformed.
I went into a loving, clean, and nurturing space, and found my little furball waiting for me to take home! The staff are friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the fees are not that expensive...great place👍♥️ …
This place has got to be the worse place ever. We went in and found a dog we really liked but I guess we were in queue behind a lot of people so the dumb lady with glasses said. We got a message right after we left saying there is one person ahead of us when we were already down the street, then we come in today and we ask if she’s still here and the lady just pointed at the whiteboard. We really wanted that dog too and she basically just pushed us away like we were not a loving home for her. This place is so horrible, I recommend the shelter in San Bernardino. If you want a dog just know you aren’t gonna get one here with the lady in the glasses working.
